This evening, I heard the best sound I have ever heard.
Charlotte laughed.
I knew Judd would be the one to really get it out of her. We have been waiting and waiting for it, and tonight we were rewarded. She was laying on the changing table, and Judd would duck down out of her sight, then pop right back up with a goofy face. I just sat in the rocking chair watching them with happy tears running down my face. I can't describe what it is to hear the first real laugh. To me, it is even better than seeing the first smile.
She is doing something new every day. She is reaching for EVERYTHING within her arm's reach. Even the camera. (sorry this is blurry)

It is the most beautiful, heart warming sound in the world. It is impossible to listen to without smiling. So glad Judd got the first one. But, then, we know she adores her dad.

Baby's and Kid's laughter is my favorite sound in the whole world! I can't wait to experience my own child's first laugh. What a wonderful experience to share with us! :)
The other posts are right - that really is probably the best sound in the whole world. It makes you smile inside & out when you hear it!
Hi Carrie. I found your blog and enjoyed reading your post! You have a beautiful baby girl. Isn't motherhood wonderful?!! She's adorable! Amanda Leonard Otts
Wow. Another big milestone. Baby (and little kid) laughs are the best. They make it all worth it!
I have a feeling that Charlotte will be laughing at Judd pretty often. I know Katie and Lilly think he is the funniest person alive.
Carrie...I love the way you describe this story! So sweet! It is THE best sound in the world...by far.
