Pool

Each evening this week we have gone "Owwwssii" and played in the "Pooouuul". I bought a little pool at Target a couple of months ago for about $5 - and it has provided hours of entertainment. Charlotte loves to hold the hose and fill it up herself. Normally this works out fine, but today she decided to turn and look at me while the hose was on. I was wetter than she was - she thought it was hilarious. (I love the fact that she has a little sense of humor now. I'll hear her, while she's alone, just cracking herself up from time to time.)

Have I mentioned how much I'm loving this summer so far? There is just something about summer time with kids.

We have started to wean Charlotte from the pacifier this week. We are only giving it to her when she's taking a nap or going to bed. We had a couple of rough nights Monday & Tuesday. So rough on Monday that she cried from 6:45-7:20 - straight through her bath. It was awful. Finally we were able to put her to bed and let her have it. I know that doesn't seem like a long time - but each minute that ticks by while your child is screaming feels like 10. Wednesday and today went much better. So maybe there is hope? It just seems so sad - she loves it so much.

See how hard it is to tell this little face "no"? It is really hard.

I haven't seen her in person in forever, but in the last picture I can see the red in her hair you were talking about...that is how my hair was when I was little and then it got redder before it got darker...weird. It is so darn hot here that i wish I could put a pool in my courtyard..I guess we have the big on but I never think to go over there...hmm, maybe tomorrow.

I love the little kiddie pools! I feel for ya with the paci too! Pretty much at 12 months we have stopped giving Liam a paci except at bedtime (mainly because he can't have it at school anymore, so we figured no need ot keeping him used to it at home). I wanted to try & get him off of it at nighttime by now too, but Josh is making us wait until August. We're flying to Philly to visit his family, and he wants Liam to be able to have it on the plane. So I guess 2 more months before we really have to piss Liam off...sigh...Good luck though - it DEFINITELY is hard to say no to their cute faces & sad cries.

She's so cute. Be glad you can take the paci away. Lora Kate never took a paci but sucks her 2 fingers. THOSE you can't take away so it'll probably last a long time to come...

Her hair is so cute with the strawberry blonde...you and Judd are such dark brunettes, were you both blonde as children?
